DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF CUSTOM SERVICES
 

INTRODUCTION

 

D.G of Customs has been established to execute the customs and security supervision on importing and exporting. It is also concerned with collecting the decided customs fees combating smuggling and preventing the entry of banned godds according to the agreed laws and regulation.

In a bid to keep a breast with the latest technology, D.G of Customs has computerized the customs procedures and it endeavors to provide this service at all customs boarders.

By the same token, a statistical system of foreign trade has been improved through which annual statistics are published on a CD ROM. This CD consists of information about the quantity and value of the Sultanate importing and exporting goods and their geographical distribution.
