Get a Police Clearance Certificate

This certificate is issued to the Omani citizen and resident foreign nationals presently or previously residing in the Sultanate for the following purposes:

  • Practicing commercial business outside the Sultanate
  • Obtaining entry visas for certain countries
  • Immigration to other countries
  • Working as tourists guide
  • Joining the University
  • Other similar purposes

Requirements For The Issue Of The Certificate

For Omanis:

  • Filled application form
  • Copy of the passport or the Identity Card
  • Two Photographs (4 x 4)
  • Payment of the specified fees of RO 3.000

For Resident Expatriate:

  • Letter from the sponsor
  • Filled application form
  • Copy of the Passport
  • Two Photographs (4 x 4)
  • Finger prints
  • Payment of the specified fees of RO 3.000

For Foreigners Staying Outside The Sultanate:

  • A letter from the applicant, indicating their name and mail address.
  • Two photographs (4 x 4)
  • Copy of the passport including the pages containing the previous residence stamp during the applicant’s residence in Oman .
  • Transfer the fees of US $12.00 (Not Cheque \ Draft) or equivalent thereof in the Directorate General of Inquires and Criminal Investigations' account no. 3106-453888-500, Oman Arab Bank, Qurum Branch, swift code (OMABOMRU).
  • Submit by express mail confirmation of the depositing together with the application to the Director of Criminal Evidence, Directorate General of Inquires and Criminal Investigations, Royal Oman Police, P.O BOX , 446 Muscat ,113 Sultanate of Oman.

Get a road permit to Dubai?

Kinds of road permits for the private sector:

  • Single trip road permit
  • Multiple-trip permit for 3 to 6 months
  • Multiple-trip permit for 6 to 12 months
  • Collective road permits granted to companies that are implementing contracts beyond the border posts.

Requirements for Road Permits:

Fill in the application form and the blue road permit card,

  • Two photographs of the expatriate
  • Copy of the expatriate’s labour card and passport.
  • Copy of the sponsor’s identity card if the sponsor is an individual.
  • Commercial register data where the sponsor is a company or establishment.
  • A letter from the sponsor requesting the permit.



Get a short visit visa?

It is granted at Seeb International Airport to nationals of certain countries covered by this facility.

  • The visa is valid for 14 days from the date of entry.
  • Fees: RO 7

Enter the Sultanate if I am a foreign resident in an AGCC state?

  • It is granted to a foreigner who is resident in any member state of the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (AGCC), provided that his occupation is not of low grade. It is also granted to members of their families, relatives and those in their company as long as they enter together.

  • This visa is valid for staying the country for four weeks, and is extendable for one week.
  • It is granted at the entry point directly.
  • Fees: RO 3 ,( RO 1 for entering Musandam Governorate Only )
  • Delay fine : RO 10 Per day .

Requirements :

  • An applicant must have valid residence permit in an AGCC state.
  • They should be in an occupation approved for entry.
  • Their passport must be valid for not less than 6 months.
  • Families, drivers, servants, attendants, and dependants of those residents are eligible for this visa , provided that they present their labour cards, and their passport are valid for not less than 6 months .
  • All nationalities in AGCC states are eligible for this visa.
