It is extendable for a similar period, provided the licence is renewed, and that the visa extension does not exceed the validity of the licence. - Fees: RO6

A medical fitness certificate issued by an authorized medical center with regard to those who are coming from certain countries specified by the Ministry of Health.

The investor or his partner must obtain the Ministry of Commerce and Industry’s approval of the investment in Oman.

It is granted to a foreigner who intends to invest his money in Oman and pursuant to a certification in this respect from the authority concerned. - This visa can be used within six months from the date of its issuance. - It is a multiple-entry visa valid for staying in the country for two years from the date it is inserted in the passport. This period is renewable. - Fees: RO 7

1. Visa application form typed, approved and stamped by the sponsor. - For holders of passports issued in Arab countries the visa application form must be filled out in Arabic. - For holders of passports issued in non-Arab countries the visa application form must be filled out in English.

It is granted at the request of a local sponsor and on his responsibility to a foreign businessman whose nature of work entails him to enter Oman for an urgent business. - This visa can be used within six months from the date of issuance. - It is a single-entry visa valid for staying in the country for not more than three weeks from the date of entry. - Fees: RO 7.

It is granted to passengers and crue of passenger ships who intend to visit Oman as tourists during their stopping at Oman ports. It is granted to a list of names of crue and passengers who want to enter the country. The list is submitted by the Oman-based agent of the ship and contains main details of those included in the list, which will be approved by the DGPR amply by arrival of the ship. - Fees: - Gratis for staying in the country for less than 24 hours - RO 2 for staying for 24 hours or more.

An application is submitted by the tourist in person to any Omani embassy or legation abroad, and without the need for a local sponsor.

It is granted to a foreigner who wants to visit Oman for tourism. - This visa can be used within six months from the date of issuance. If it is granted by the Sultanate of Oman’s legation abroad by co-ordination with the DGPR, it should be stamped within one month only from the date of its issuance, and must be used within not more than six months from the date of its issuance. - It is a single-entry visa for staying in the country for three weeks from the date of entry. - This period is extendable once and for one week only. - Fees: RO 5 Application for the tourist visa can be made by either one of two ways as follows: - A visa under a sponsor. - A visa without a sponsor. In both cases the tourist visa enables its holder to stay in the country for three weeks.

1. The foreigner should have visited the same sponsor at least once with a business visit visa or an express visa. 2. The foreigner should have already been inside the country at the time of application. Exempted from this requirement are diplomats who are accredited to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and nationals of countries with which Oman has agreements that authorize embassies to issue multiple-entry visas. 3. The foreigner concerned should come in person in order to be fingerprinted.

It is granted at the request of a local sponsor and an his responsibility to a foreign businessman whose nature of work entails his entry to the country more than once. This visa is granted also to the diplomats who are accredited to the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (AGCC) States. - The visa can be used within six months from the date of issuing. - It is a multiple entry visa valid fro a period between six months and one year from the date it is stamped in the passport. The holder should not stay in Oman for not more than three weeks in each visit to the country. - Fees: RO 10

It is granted to a foreigner at the request of a government organization. - This visa can be used within six months from the date of issuing - It is a single-entry visa valid for staying in the country for three months from the date of entry. This period is extendable for a similar period. - Fees: gratis

It is granted to a foreign businessman at the request of a local sponsor and on his responsibility in order to hold commercial negotiations or carry out a task which may develop the commercial relations between trade establishments or between an importer and an exporter. - The visa can be used within six months from the date of issuing. - It is valid for staying in the country for one month from the date of entry. This period is extendable at the discretion of the Directorate General of Passports and Residence. - Fees: RO 6.

Two photographs (4 * 6) cm. 3. Copy of the foreigner’s passport which must be valid for three months at least. 4. Copy of the specimen signature of the authorized signatories issued by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. In case of personal sponsorship a copy of the identity card must be attached in order to compare the signature. 5. Copy of passport of the foreigner who will host the person for whom the visa is requested. 6. A letter of undertaking in which the sponsor declares that he shall be responsible for the visitor during his visit to Oman and mentions the relationship.

It is granted to the relatives or friends of an Omani national at his request and on his sponsorship. It is also granted to the relatives of a foreigner who is resident in Oman at the request of and on the responsibility of his sponsor. - This visa can be used within six months from the date of issuance. - It is a single-entry visa valid for staying in the country for three months from the date of entry. This period is extendable once for one month only. - Fees: RO 6.

Visa application form typed, approved and stamped by the sponsor. - For holders of passports issued in Arab countries the visa application form must be filled out in Arabic. - For holders of passports issued in non-Arab countries the visa application form must be filled out in English. 2. Two photographs (4 * 6) cm. 3. Copy of the foreigner’s passport which must be valid for three months at least. 4. Copy of passport of the foreigner who is resident in Oman and who wants his family to join him. 5. Duplicate of the employment contract certified by the labour office, or copy of the valid labour card. 6. The standard undertaking form specified for the family joining visa applications. The undertaking form must be co-signed by the sponsor and his foreign employee who is resident in Oman. 7. Unless the names and passport details indicate the relationship between the foreigner who is resident in the country and the person who will join him, a proof of their relationship must be attached. 8. Copy of the specimen signature of the authorized signatories issued by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. 9. Where the applications is not submitted to the Directorate General of Passport and Residence (DGPR) by the sponsor in person, his representative must be an Omani national holding an authorization from the sponsor and approved by the DGRP. 10. A medical fitness certificate issued by an approved medical center. This is required for foreigners who have reached 15 years and who are coming from certain countries. Note: If the family joining visa is requested for a foreign wife of an Omani national a certificate from the Ministry of Interior confirming the status of the marriage must be presented.

The family Joining Visa is granted to the wife of the foreigner who is resident in Oman, and also to his children who are not above 28 years. It’s also granted to a foreign wife of an Omani national at his request and subject to a certificate from the authority concerned confirming the status of the marriage. - The family Visa is granted by the competent authority (Directorate General of Passport and Residence) at its discretion, at the request of a local sponsor and on his responsibility to the relatives of a foreigner who are not included in the categories eligible for Family Joining Visa. it can be used for entry within six months from the date of issuance. - It is valid for staying in the country for two years from the date of entry or the date it is stamped in the passport. - It is renewable, multiple-entry visa. - Fees: RO 7.

1. Where the foreigner previously worked in Oman and did not complete two years since he left Oman, a release letter from the former sponsor is needed indicating that he ( the sponsor ) has no objection to the employment of that foreigner by any other employer without compliance with the two-year restriction. 2. Where the foreigner wants to change his sponsorship to a new sponsor (employer) while is still inside the Sultanate, a release letter from the former sponsor and approved by the Directorate General of Labour is needed. All violations including the delay fine must have been settled when the visa application is submitted. 3. Some nationalities need special permits, e.g.: Filipino housemaids need labour permit from the Filipino Embassy and attested by Oman’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The original labour permit issued by the Directorate General of Labour + copy thereof with each application form. 5. A medical fitness certificate issued by an approved medical center. This is required from foreigners who are coming certain countries specified by the Ministry of Health. 6. Where the application is not submitted to the Directorate General of passports and Residence (DGPR) by the sponsor in person, his representative must be an Omani national holding an authorization from the sponsor approved by the DGPR.

1. The sponsor must be a local one with full legal capacity and be responsible for the truth of the information given in the application form. 2. The person for whom the employment visa is requested shall not be below 21 or above 60 calendar years. 3. He shall be of the same sex as stated in the labour permit which issued by the Directorate General of Labour Affairs. 4. The occupation for which the visa is requested must be identical to the one stated in the labour permit. 5. With regard to permits which are conditional on employment inside the country, the foreigner for the visa is requested must be already present in the country with an employment residence specifically.

It is granted at the request of a local sponsor and on his responsibility to a foreigner who comes to Oman for employment and whose age is not below 21 years. This visa can be used within six months from the date of its issuance. It is valid for staying in the country for two years from the date of entry or the date it is stamped in the passport. It is renewable and valid for multiple entries.
