Issuance of Death Certificate

Death event is registered for Omanis whether it is in Oman or abroad. Death which occurs in the Sultanate shall be notified to the registrar within two weeks from the date of death, and within one month if occurs abroad.Death certificate will be issued as an official document.

  • The legally qualified person needs to appear .
  • The requested documents
  • The informant must appear in person to the civil status directorate/office.
  • Bring the required documents.
  • application will be checked, then the death certificate will be issued.
  • First-time issuance of the certificate is free
  • RO 1 for additional copy.
